Just as we thought that an amazing musical evening had come to an end with AllGoRhythms’s musical performance, we had Aakriti Dance Academy blow our minds away!
Aakriti Dance Academy is the baby of danceuse, Lavanya and together with her troupe and students; they put up a fantastic show called ‘Navrang’ to enthrall the audiences. The foot tapping numbers and energetic yet graceful dances made everyone party in their seats. The numerous dances with elaborate costumes and intricate footwork was a unique showcase. All the dances flowed into one beautiful story of colors and emotions—It truly was poetry in motion! Each color (and there were nine of them, hence, Navrang) in the individual dances depicted a human emotion.
Kids, teens and adults alike twirled, swayed and rocked the stage, all to the choreographies set by Lavanya herself! The entire show was for a good cause—Asha for education—a non-profit organization striving for education of the underprivileged children in India. By the end of the show, the audience was asking for encores and only if we had a little more time, would we have got to see some more awesomeness from the dance company!
