On a beautiful late summer afternoon, when the Northwest should’ve already been cooling down, two kids made the most of this idyllic, warm weather! Out came the sprinklers and water spouts and filled that noonday with glee, laughter and merriment! Natasha and Rohan had a wonderful time, dousing each other and running through their yard while we took pictures of them and tried to save our cameras from the occasional water waves that came our way! It was so much fun to see these two enjoy their childhood that it took us back to our’s and what a wonderful place it is to be! Their innocence shone through the gleams of water droplets as they ran around, chasing each other. Natasha, the ever-curious elder sibling took on the role of a caring, more aware and loving older sister with great ease while Rohan, the more mischievous of the two, stole our hearts with his cute smile and endless stories.
As the sun became mellow, our party of four moved to a lovely wooded trail and garden behind their house. With mom, Meeta and daddy, Tejas in tow, the kids went exploring their own backyard. The children loved getting their hands dirty; picking up stones and counting pebbles. The little ones romped wild and free in the green grass under Meeta and Tejas’ watchful and loving eyes; stopping now and again for some juicy strawberries that mamma had packed!
With still some more time left for the sun to set, the gang went to the neighborhood pier to end the day on a high note! With the majestic Mount Rainier and the city of Seattle as our backdrop, the family of four casually walked the pier and indulged in some family fun. Natasha was skipping pebbles in the water, collecting some perfectly rounded stones and chasing ducks while Rohan was enjoying running the length and breadth of the pier. The beautiful family watched the sun go down (a first for Rohan!) and took home some warm, summer memories from that day!
