This year that cause was Asha for Education-a non-profit organization striving for education of the underprivileged children in India.
This talented and versatile bunch, (some of who not only sing but also play various instruments and vice versa) are a merry lot indeed! Backstage, through the chaos of getting ready and starting on time, they were very confident and supportive of each other. The show that was part musical and part drama, opened to a packed theater with a love story. As the saga unfolded, each situation brought along a perfect and befitting lyrical number that kept the audience wanting more. The actors were definitely gifted to have put up such a beautiful piece together. Srijan who was representing Asha for education also spoke about the cause for the evening and how each contribution however small or large was driving the programs that are being run for the education of children in India. It all came together in the end with a thunderous applause from the appreciative crowd.
